Rotary Club members are interested in the environment. Several members got together to form the Adopt A River Group aligning with the Rotary /UNEP partnership which began in 2020, and involving members of other clubs. Community Action for Fresh Water is very much a part of the activity of the Rotary International 7th area of focus – the Environment.

This is the website of The Rotary Club of Riccarton in Christchurch, New Zealand. Riccarton Rotary is an active Rotary club and we meet regularly throughout the year, usually on Monday lunchtimes. We are affiliated to Rotary International and we support a lot of Rotary International initiatives throughout the region.

Here is a little bit of information about Rotary. Every Rotary club can trace its connections back to the Rotary International organisation. Riccarton is one of several clubs in the Christchurch area. The New Zealand clubs are grouped into districts and there are several districts in the country (all countries have one or more districts). Riccarton is affiliated to district 9970. Districts are further grouped into Regions, and then to Rotary International, based in the USA. There are now more than 31,000 Rotary clubs in over 160 countries. |

The Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust was incorporated on the 15th December 1978 and its Trust Deed was registered on the 24th February 1989. The purpose of the Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust is for the betterment of the education, training, advancement and benefit in life of young persons within New Zealand. |
Riccarton Rotary supports the needs of the community around the Christchurch area. The requirement for high quality, professional mental health and counselling services has never been greater and that is why Riccarton Rotary is proud to be associated with Petersgate Counselling Centre.
