Here is a little bit of information about Rotary. Every Rotary club can trace its connections back to the Rotary International organisationRiccarton is one of several clubs in the Christchurch area. The New Zealand clubs are grouped into districts and there are several districts in the country (all countries have one or more districts). Riccarton is affiliated to district 9970. One of the key activities of Rotary is giving help to the community. Sometimes this is done through grants, but often in the giving of time, effort and care. Here are some examples of the work Riccarton Rotary
Club has done to help others
The Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust was incorporated on the 15th December 1978 and its Trust Deed was registered on the 24th February 1989.
The purpose of the Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust is for the betterment of the education, training, advancement and benefit in life of young persons within New Zealand.
Every year Riccarton Rotary supports Cholmondeley Children's Centre by organising a charity golf day.
Cholmondeley Children’s Centre (Chum-lee) provides short-term emergency and planned respite care and education to children (aged 3-12 years) whose families are experiencing genuine stress or crisis. Our aim is to give these children the opportunity to build their resilience, while issues at home are resolved.

Change your community with us by volunteering on a local project.

We work with groups and organizations of all sizes to accomplish even more.
